Odor Control for Fermentation & Drying ExhaustJiangxiFor Yibang Industrial Co., Ltd.
Background:
The facility generates complex odor exhaust from drying and fermentation processes, including mixed organic smells, fermentation gases, and high-temperature air streams.
The challenges were clear:
1.Odor composition is complex, with both water-soluble and non-soluble organics
2.Strong and persistent odor, difficult to remove completely
3.High inlet temperature affecting treatment stability
4.Need to meet both emission and odor standards
Solution:
Chaori designed a combined wet scrubbing + biological deodorization system.
The front-end scrubber removes soluble pollutants and stabilizes gas conditions, while the biofilter section handles remaining odor compounds through microbial degradation.
To ensure stable biological performance, a dedicated cooling and temperature control section is integrated before the bio stage.
What Makes It Different:
1.Pre-treatment + bio-stage matching design, instead of relying on bio alone
2.Enhanced inlet and airflow structure, improving gas distribution inside large towers
3.Full-contact scrubbing layout, reducing untreated zones
4.Temperature-controlled bio section, keeping microorganisms active and stable
5.Anti-clogging and easy-maintenance design for long-term operation
Results:
1.Significant reduction in complex odor emissions
2.Stable operation despite high temperature and variable gas composition
3.Consistent compliance with emission and odor standards
4.Low operating cost with minimal secondary pollution
Conclusion:
For odor control, the challenge is rarely a single gas — it’s the combination of different compounds and conditions.
By combining pre-treatment and biological degradation in a controlled way, the system achieves stable and efficient odor removal in real operating conditions.
